Pick: Phoenix (+4) Result: 124-119 Stake: 10/10 Odds: 1.98 Bookmaker: 5dimes vCash: Yes

In the last 17 games Phoenix have taken 17 wins, while Portland only 2. /this is a great tradition in favour of Suns. Besides, the last 10 matches between them were ended up to Suns' victories. However, the guest have a more qualitative squad than their tonight's opponents. I back Phoenix to clearly win, but since it will be a tough encounter, we get covered by the handicap of +4 points for the away team.

Olympiakos has a pretty tough field. They are forerunners of Greek league because of their home wins. In Europe things are the same, where only in Piraeus the greek team have taken some victorious points. Olympiakos pass with 1 point at least, and Herta want win to continue to UEFA Cup. The only way out for Greeks are to excel in Uefa, having a good tradition against German team at home. Herta will go fight the match, and it's rather possible to score. Alternatively, G/G or Over are likely to take place in tonight's game.

Lautern has an outstanding 21:5 at home (8 games), namely 5/8 OVER. Besides, Freiburg (11:12) demostrates the same rate of OVER away. Both teams perform well at home (6-2-0) and away (3-2-3), respectively. The hosts need more taking the winning 3 points in order to climb onto the relegation positions, where the guests do already lie. I count on the brilliant shape of Kaiserslautern to take the victory, assuming that Freiburg are quite hard to die without finding net at least once.

Mallorca have 5/7 OVER when visiting opponents fields, whilst Jetafe perform a decent 4/7 OVER at home, respectively. This is a +55% for both tonight's rivals. Besides, Jetafe demonstrates a rather low harvest of 7:10 at 7 games home, since Mallorca, which are have a dramatic record of 3:14 in 7 road matches. As we can assume, the deffences are not so trustworthy, and I rely on the presumption that both teams will score, but the hosts are going to get the victory.

Pick: Detroit ML Result: 86-90 Stake: 10/10 Odds: 1.91 Bookmaker: 5dimes vCash: Yes

In 2008, Detroit have beaten Charlotte 3 times in 3 games (last time was on November with 83-101). Pistons (12-9) are more qualitative team than Bobcats (7-16). The hosts count 5 defeats in a row, while the guests come from a victory against Indiana. Detroit have achieved 11 victories out of 15 games against Charlotte, during the last 4 years.
This time I shall pick the winner, and not a points total, since the margin for spread is negligible.

Pick: Asteras Tripolis (-0.5) Result: 1-2 Stake: 10/10 Odds: 1.94 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Dec 13, 2008, 01:46
Asteras have a hard field, where they succeeded not to lose the last 5 games (1 win-4 draws) against clubs of the same dynamics. Today, they are going to beat a team that is not in a good shape. Apparently, only 2 points distinguish the two opponent, but the difference in quality is much longer. Iraklis is weak away (1-1-3, 4:6), since Tripoli is unbeatable at home (1-4-0). After the coach swift (Kostenoglou), Asteras found a better psychology and perform in the same standards like last year, where they were the positive surprise of the league, demonstrating outstanding matches.

Pick: Olympiakos Pireus Result: 1-1 Stake: 10/10 Odds: 2.23 Bookmaker: 188bet vCash: Yes

The forerunner Olympiakos travel to Larissa to battle with the homonymous club. The champions do not have a good tradition over there, staying away of the victory since 21 years (in championship level). Olympiakos want to clear up the championship issue from the first round, getting away from a tough field like the one of Larissa. The hosts have a decent home record (3-1-2, 11:7 goals), while the guests did not play well away, in general, until the last match in Salonica against Iraklis (0-3). If Olympiakos plan to ensure the title from now, they ought win that game. Besides, the odds are quite high, so I will back it.

Pick: Over 207 Result: 79-101 Stake: 10/10 Odds: 1.97 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes
Posted: Dec 12, 2008, 08:59
Last month, both teams gave us a wonderful and totally offensive match that ended up with Nets taking the victory, away (129-127). Now, all teams have rolled enough, having found the coach systems and got known each other, as the time passes. I don't think that another astronomic score like that is going to be achieved tonight, but it is likely for both opponents to reach and get over the limit of 207 points total. Raptors score 94.4 ppg in the last 5 games, having taken a victory in the last game after a series of defeats. Nets have 104.4 ppg in the last 5 matches, lying among the best offensive teams (being among the worst defensive ones, too) in NBA. Raptors are in a good psychology, therefore they are going to get their second victory in a row, while Nets are unpredictable but scoring capable.

Pick: Over 188.5 Result: 88-72 Stake: 10/10 Odds: 1.96 Bookmaker: Pinnacle vCash: Yes

This is considered to be a match that we need both teams reach their regular recent standards so that they could score enough to surpass the total points limit. Cavs are very hot lately and score 106.6 ppg in the previous 5 games. 76ers are in a worse form, achieving 95.6 ppg in the last 5 encounters. The tonight's opponents played again on 10/12 at Philadelphia, where Cleveland took the victory with 101-93. Ilgaouskas (Cavs, starting center, 14.8 ppg.) is absentee, but this fact will not prevent Cavaliers from achieving their 11th streak win. Philadelphia are not great offensive team, but it's time for them to start winning, so if they attempt to take advantage of the Cavs' absences and believe in winning, the match will be high-scored.

Brighton is not in a sound form, having a 2-1-3 record in past 6 matches (last win 1 month ago). At home they demonstrate 2.78 goals per match (2.58 in total), which is a valuable figure. On the other side, MK Dons perform well, with a brilliant 5-0-1 streak in recent 6 encounters. Their matches away end up with 3.22 goals average (2.95 in total). Both clubs have essential reason to win, since the hosts strive to get away the low rank standings and the guests make an effort to maintain in the play-off positions. So both opponents are about to score so as to get the points.
I back OVER 2,5.
